Ultrasound transducers designed for algae control were deployed at two locations at Lake Powell and the accumulation of invasive mussel settlement, algae species, and overall biofouling was observed within and outside of the range of the transducers over a one-year period. The ultrasound transducer tested in this study did not have an obvious impact on mussel settlement, algae species composition, or overall biofouling. The data files include counts of quagga mussels settled on plates, the size of a sub-set of mussels, the dry-weight of all biofouling organisms and data obtained from metabarcoding analysis of algae species.
